Product Description

Surface Repair Refinishing Spray is ideal for the toughest refinishing jobs, this porcelain hard refinish coating cures and becomes hard like no other paint and is long lasting, durable, with a high gloss finish that is easily kept maintained. Use for refinishing bathtubs, sinks, toilets, shower stalls, stove tops, washers, dryers, refrigerators, outdoor furniture and more. This product can also be used on cast iron, enameled steel, vitreous china, porcelain, gel-coated fiberglass, acrylic and plastics. This ceramic like product is the ultimate for applications where water moister, high humidity and ease of cleaning are a concern. The applications are endless!

Available colors: (Choose above) Appliance White, Plumbing White, Biscuit/Linen and Almond/Bone.

Other applications:
Utility and golf carts, hand rails and grab bars, air conditioning grills, parts refinishing, metal doors and window frames, cabinet doors, office furniture, file cabinets and more. Great for pool, spa, sauna, utility and pump areas, basement, kitchen, yard and other products exposed to the elements.

Application highlights and recommendations:

  • Sprays smooth with little orange peel and nice gloss.
  • A clear coat is available for surfaces that do not need color or to extend the use of the color coat application.
  • Clean the surface first with pre-cleaner and wipe with a tack cloth for optimum spray out results and a dust free finish.
  • Spraying product at 76 degrees ambient work temperature will give excellent spray out results.
  • Don’t spray where a heater or fan is blowing on the spray area. This will dry the coating before it lays to the surface causing roughness to the finish.
  • Bonds to acrylic, fiber glass, gel coat and plastics with long term adhesion especially when the surface is sanded first with 320 grit sandpaper or with a scotch brite pad.
  • Product is high in solids, will cover generally in two coats. Allow first light coat to become tacky (wait 5 minute) before applying heavier final finish coat.
  • Understand shaking the can for a full minute will assure best coverage and results.
  • Remove the gloss first from enamel, ceramic and porcelain finishes with our etching cream for best adhesion.
  • Mask off the areas that you do not want over-spray or product on like the tile edge fixtures and floor.
  • Wear the recommended respirator when poor ventilation is apparent.
  • Wet coating can be cleaned up with lacquer thinner or Isopropyl alcohol. Be sure to wear protective latex gloves.
  • Longevity and adhesion will be extended by allowing the new coating to cure for 48 before putting back into use in a wet or humid environment.

  1. Fiberglass Shower Pan 5 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Jan 2015

I followed the directions, prepared the pan using 320 grit sand paper, applied several coats (decided to use about 3-1/2 cans on a 3' x 5' shower pan though 3 would probably be sufficient). Had a few drips, but kept the nozzle clean and shook the cans before and throughout the process. The application was easy (did use a respirator) and the finish looks great. Durability will be the final deciding factor though, so I'll need to wait a few years to see how the product performs. My only suggestion would be to the manufacturer to use the newer technology for paint spray cans, i.e., easy lids or locking caps with nicer spray nozzles.

Note from Surface Repair: Very glad you liked the product. We have considered other spray lids and nozzles, however we get many customers buying the CAN GUN and really liking the way the product sprays with a gun feel to it. This style tip fits our gun, the key with out the gun is keeping the tip cleaned periodically during the spray as you found. Thank you for the suggestion and for your business.

  2. Wow! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 11th Dec 2014

This is the best product we ever used. We had a horrible shower pan and this just made it new.
Caution...if you want good coverage on your shower pan buy 4 cans minimum, this should do the trick. We went from a white shower pan to almond and it looks and feels great.

(Shake Cans for 1 complete minuted for best results) 4 cans too much for standard 3x3 shower pan.

  3. Coverage and spray out 4 Star Review

Posted by on 9th Dec 2014

At first it did not cover very well, I had put two coats on and I still needed to put another one on. Your instructions on the can said to shake it for one minute. One of the reviews says to shake it for 2 minutes. I did just that for the last coat and it turned out perfect. Wish I would have done that from the start. This was for a shower pan and looks really good. I am very proud of myself now. Glad I did this..

  4. Use it for Rentals and Handy man jobs 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Aug 2014

Followed directions for my plastic shower pan for one of my rentals, very pleased. The paint color matched perfect. With some taping off where the wall meets the pan, some sanding, it was easy to apply and the shower pan looks and cleans like new.

  5. Washing Machine Porcelain Top 4 Star Review

The Spray can MUST be shaken at least 2 minutes for best results.
    Color is Perfect!
Application is good, I found applying additional coats on within a few minutes worked great. I avoided light coats and added the clear coat for extra protection. I would buy more again. Excellent Product

  6. Been using it for years 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Apr 2014

I am in rental property repair industry and have been using this product for years on sinks and tubs in apartments and houses. To get best results the key is sanding and cleaning. i have found that paint/lacquer thinner works best. Also if using it on sinks, heater underneath the sink makes better adhesion. Way cheaper that calling a contractor to do the same.

  7. Great Product 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Apr 2014

This is the second time I use the product for a sink and tub project. I continue to be pleased with the results. Be sure to follow directions, shake the can for a good straight minute and don't spray when it is hot or when a fan is blowing on it. Keep the tip wiped clean with a rag as you go to prevent splatters. All of this works well. Excellent Product.

I do take on some do-it-your self projects. This one amazed me with the results. Do recommend spray respirator. Am very pleased.

Kohler Almond blended in well. Looked great.

There is a hazmat freight fee to Alaska. I got the product anyway. It came quickly that made it less painful...Very Pleased.

  10. great finish 5 Star Review

Posted by on 10th Dec 2013

Provided a very nice hard finish over a shower pan repair. Very good match in the buscuit/linen color. Was easy to use. Seemed to have normal amount of over spray. Getting a can of white and filler to fix the chips in the kitchen sink.
Much better product than available in the local retail stores.
